Let's Pad The Numbers

AveWatch is happy to be partnering with a Catholic university as an advertising partner. The university is looking to generate increased interest in the university, particularly in the area of real estate around the univeristy.

We are currently in a two-week trial period of advertising. Depending on results, the contract could be expanded dramatically. The results that need to be seen are primarily identified as hits on the university's website. Please take a few minutes on many occasions this week to go to their website and click around.

Please also let your friends and family know how important this is to AveWatch and encourage them to visit the web-site this week as well, and pass on this message.

UPDATE, 3/25/07 - Comments to AveWatch show that visitors are not reading the full article. This is a parody of an actual technique employed by Monaghan to artificially bump the number of people that appear interested in his South Florida real estate development, Ave Maria Town. Click below for the scoop:
Gotcha'.

AveWatch has nothing of the sort lined-up.

But Tom Monaghan does. Look below at the incestuous attempt to pad the number of people who appear interested in Ave Maria Town. The following email was circulated this weekend to the Ann Arbor area Catholic Men's group. Tom Monaghan complains to Michigan audiences about being "hung-up in Ann Arbor", then expects Ann Arbor to support his Florida real estate development.

And what of "Fr. Pat" and the Ann Arbor Catholic Men's group? Why would a group dedicated to encouraging men to be exemplary Catholics engage in a shady effort of "on many occasions this week to go to the website and click around" to artificially pad interest in Ave Maria Town?

(By the way, in case you miss it, the AveWatch introductory "gotcha" is a verbatim quote from the email below with Ave Maria Town and Ave Maria Radio swapped-out.)

A Message from Al Kresta:

Dear friends

Ave Maria Radio is happy to be partnering with the town of Ave Maria as an advertising partner. The company that is developing the town, Barron Collier is looking to generate increased interest in the town of Ave Maria, Florida in the area of real estate.

We are currently in a two-week trial period of advertising. Depending on results, the contract could be expanded dramatically. The results that need to be seen are primarily identified as hits on the website avemaria.com. Please take a few minutes on many occasions this week to go to the website and click around.

Please also let your friends and family know how important this is to Ave Maria Radio and encourage them to visit the web-site this week as well, and pass on this message. Ave Maria, FL is a colossal project that can only be appreciated by seeing the plans, photos, and videos available at www.avemaria.com.

Fr. Pat says, "I was amazed by the size of the project at my last visit. With 1100 workers on site at one time it was the largest private building operation in the whole nation."

This really is a unique opportunity to show the town of Ave Maria how effective Catholic radio and our network can be. Let's get the word out to everyone you know to listen in and to log on.

This is the most important activity we can ask you to do at this time to help Ave Maria Radio. The impact on our apostolate can be tremendous.
